Terms of Service
Last updated: September 7, 2026
1. Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of RigorDesk ("the Service"), operated by tellodb ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation, and "you" means that organisation.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old if you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, and at least 13 years old elsewhere, subject to any higher minimum age set by the law where you live. By creating an account you confirm you meet the applicable age requirement, that the information you give us is accurate, and that you are not barred from using the Service under any law that applies to you.
3. Account registration
You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for activity under your account. Tell us immediately at sharjeel@tellodb.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission. We may suspend or terminate accounts in line with section 15.
4. What the Service does
RigorDesk routes your prompt through several large language models for structured review, challenge and synthesis. You can create, save, publish and share panel templates, run reviews with configurable agreement thresholds and round limits, browse published reviews and public templates, and inspect per-model token usage, cost breakdowns and full transcripts. We reach third-party model providers on your behalf through a single billing connection, so you do not need separate accounts or API keys with each provider. Model availability, pricing and behaviour are set by those providers and can change without notice to us.
5. Subscriptions and billing
We offer a free Hobby tier and paid plans. Current plan names, prices and included allowances are on our Pricing page and form part of these Terms. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Paddle, which acts as merchant of record and whose buyer terms also apply to your purchase. Prices are exclusive of applicable sales tax or VAT unless stated otherwise; Paddle calculates and collects these where required. You may cancel at any time from Settings or the Customer Portal, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period you are in. Except as set out in section 6 and in our Refund Policy, fees already paid are not refundable.
6. Right to cancel for consumers in the EU and UK
If you are a consumer resident in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you normally have 14 days from entering into the contract to withdraw from it without giving a reason and receive a full refund. Because the Service starts as soon as you subscribe, this right interacts with immediate supply. Where you have expressly asked us to begin supplying the Service during the 14-day period and acknowledged that you will lose the right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed, that right ends on full performance. Where you have asked us to begin and then withdraw part-way through, you pay a proportionate amount for what you used and we refund the balance. Where no such request and acknowledgement was given, your full 14-day right of withdrawal is unaffected. Nothing in these Terms removes or limits your statutory rights as a consumer, including your rights in respect of a service that is not carried out with reasonable care and skill. Our Refund Policy explains how to exercise this in practice.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to create or distribute content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory or infringing; to infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy; to submit personal data of other people that you have no right to disclose to a third-party processor; to reverse engineer, decompile or extract the underlying models or infrastructure; to degrade performance for other users or exceed rate limits; or to circumvent usage limits, token caps or plan restrictions. We may investigate suspected breaches and act under section 15.
8. Your content and our intellectual property
You keep ownership of the prompts and documents you submit and of the outputs you generate. You are responsible for having the rights to whatever you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, process and transmit your content only so far as needed to operate the Service for you and to provide the features you use. If you publish a panel template or a review, you additionally grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display and distribute that published content through the Service and in embeds, which you can end by unpublishing, though we cannot recall copies already made by others. We do not use your prompts, documents or transcripts to train our own models. All code, design, branding and infrastructure of the Service remain ours. Model outputs may not be original and may resemble outputs given to other users; we make no claim that an output is free of third-party rights.
9. Copyright complaints
If you believe content published through the Service infringes your copyright, email sharjeel@tellodb.com with enough detail to identify the work and the material complained of, your contact details, and a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised. We will review the complaint, remove or disable access to material where the complaint is substantiated, and may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
10. Third-party services
The Service depends on third parties including Supabase for authentication and data storage, Paddle for payments, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting, and multiple model providers. Your use of those services is also governed by their terms. We are not responsible for their availability, and we are not responsible for the accuracy of any output produced by a third-party model.
11. AI outputs are not professional advice
Everything the Service produces is generated by language models and can be wrong, incomplete, out of date, or confidently mistaken. Agreement between models is evidence worth inspecting; it is not proof that an answer is correct, and models can repeat the same error. Nothing produced by the Service is legal, medical, financial, tax, engineering or other professional advice, and no reviewer-client or similar relationship is created by using it. You must independently verify anything you intend to rely on, and you remain solely responsible for decisions you take. Do not use the Service as the sole basis for a decision affecting anyone's health, safety, legal rights or finances.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
EXCEPT WHERE THE LAW DOES NOT ALLOW IT, THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT MODEL OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, COMPLETE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY PURPOSE. If you are a consumer, this section does not affect your statutory rights, and some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties, so parts of it may not apply to you.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for a breach of your non-excludable statutory rights as a consumer, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, and to the maximum extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill or business opportunity, however caused; and our total aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or fifty United States dollars. Because the Service produces AI-generated output that can be wrong, we are not liable for any decision you take on the basis of an output you did not independently verify.
14. Indemnification
If you use the Service other than as a consumer, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless tellodb and its officers, employees and agents against claims, damages and reasonable expenses arising from your use of the Service, your breach of these Terms, or your infringement of a third party's rights. This section does not apply to consumers, and it does not apply to the extent a claim arises from our own breach or negligence.
15. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if your use creates a legal or security risk, or if we are required to by law. Except where a breach is serious or where the law prevents it, we will give you reasonable notice and an opportunity to put the problem right first. If we terminate your paid plan for a reason that is not your breach, we will refund the unused portion of the period you have already paid for. We may also discontinue the Service as a whole on reasonable notice, refunding unused prepaid amounts. On termination your right to use the Service ends; sections that by their nature should survive, including sections 8, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17 and 18, continue to apply.
16. Changes to the Service and these Terms
We may change the Service, including adding, altering or withdrawing features and models, and we may change these Terms. Where a change to these Terms is material and adverse to you, we will give you reasonable advance notice by email or in the Service before it takes effect, and you may reject it by cancelling before that date, in which case we refund the unused portion of your current period. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it. Price changes apply from your next renewal, never mid-period.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the law of the jurisdiction in which tellodb has its principal place of business, and the courts of that jurisdiction have non-exclusive jurisdiction. This does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live: if you are a consumer in the EEA or the UK, you keep the benefit of your home country's mandatory rules and may bring proceedings in your local courts. Consumers in the EEA may also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform. Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at sharjeel@tellodb.com so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
18. General
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, the rest continues in force and that provision is applied to the maximum extent permitted. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them to a successor to our business on notice to you. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including provider outages, but this does not affect your right to a refund for a service we did not supply. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, Refund Policy and the Pricing page, are the entire agreement between us about the Service.
